That's a good looking gun. Some nice work went into the manufacture of it.

That would have been a lot of money in 1910. A dollar a day was ordinary pay for laborers. A man would have had to save up for a while to buy that gun.

OK someone turn the damn faucet off, its been raining for two days now and the Shop Monster is tired of it, along with me.

found out this morning that sometime since yesterday morning when this wet crap started the cover blowed off the furnace, SO now I have a reason to fire it up when the rain stops.

Suppose to turn to freezing rains and maybe snow before too long. If it does maybe it will bring down some more of the dead Elm tree out by the street, I won't cut it cause of one limb that may take down the power line to the neighbors house.

So how was everyones Christmas, me and the Monster stayed up on the couch and watched as the old fart and his drunken raindeer bounced off of roofs leaving a trail of sparks that could of been observed from the Space Station

Had a house full at our homestead... our youngest boy (26), his girlfriend and her young daughter; our middle son (28), his fiancé and her two young daughters, plus the wife and I, two heelers and a worthless cat. I'm surprised the wife didn't invite the chick'ns to stay inside the house, too. Couldn't watch tv 'cause the kids make'n so much noise and conversations with my boys were strained by their constant having to get after the kids to mind and behave in the house, HAHA.... A typical family Christmas, in other words. HAHAHA.... Wife and I started celebrating the 23rd and ended last night. I gained a most amazing amount of weight over those few days... went from 172.3 to 180.6, most weight I've gained all at once in my entire life. Haven't taken a crap yet, so maybe that's partly where the weight's located. HAHAHA....

Had me a vision this morning over breakfast with regard to finishing off this bear sculpture. Decided I'm going to change its anatomy and its overall depiction to a style of art I think would work better towards getting it sold AND bearing my signature style of sculpture folks could recognize more readily at a distance. I'll be work'n on defining the alterations through sketches while the weather's still too cold to work in the shop. Will post the ideas as they materialize in sketch to keep y'all abreast.

All in all it was a good holiday event. Look'n forward to warmer weather to get back at this bear again. I want this done and out the door as soon as possible 'cause I have some other ideas in the wings itch'n to get created. Gonna be a terrific year with regard to get'n back at sculpting again. Cheers, fellas. Hope y'all's new year is full of blessings and fond memorable events.

David, are you having rain, flooding, tornadoes or a blizzard. Probably all of the above in the last 24 hours. Crazy weather!
