Re: Cincinnati Shaper
printed these two parts the other day as patterns for a part for a friends lathe. they fit and would of worked but I figured that I could make them better anyway I need to reprint them then do some cleanup on them, then we can turn them into metal.
I said two parts but in the photo it shows three, one has a messed up spot on it where the plastic didn't stick to the bed when the printer laid down the raft that the parts were printed on.
These parts are a little over 6 inches long, some of the biggest parts that I've printed since I built the printer.

Re: Cincinnati Shaper
I fired up yesterday and casted that funny shaped purple part in the last post, it worked out ok, even if the mold did tear on one side some, its fixable and I only needed the one part so I didn't put in a lot of finish time on the 3D printed part. Sorry no photo of the funny shaped part.
I also needed some new shifter levers for my mill as one of them had broken. so I casted up a couple of those also. I did take photo's of them. one of the levers mounted on the mill, I just need some powder coating powder to dip them in and about 20 minutes in the toaster oven to make them some odd ball color.

Re: Cincinnati Shaper
I've been wondering where you had gone.
I'm making preparations to alloy some Everdur. Probably tomorrow. Today I weighed out the copper wire, and the silicon, and the manganese.
