Lurking and lurking, we're going to have some Thanksgiving with the family, at least the ones that can make it. I can't hardly stand the news anymore, what a bunch of belly achin.

a little, just not very fast.

been working on a 7MM Mauser that I ended up with that didn't have a stock.

The other projects are pretty much stalled waiting on the guy that does the heat coloring for me

I've also been playing around with this while the weather is cooled off.

Okay Dave, what is that one? I'm still waiting for a .600 Nitro Express.

Of course if that doesn't light your fire, here are a few others that would dislocate your shoulder.

Back in the nineteenth century, it was not only the elephants who suffered; those Englishmen who shot elephants took a fair share of punishment as well. I don't know that I would have the courage to fire one of those old double rifles just for the fun of it, but with several tons of angry elephant coming at me, my priorities would certainly change. I am thinking though that I just might rather deal with an elephant than with that .700 Nitro Express.

that will probably be a .357 if there is enough room between the hammer and the breach face.

you can stop waiting for me to build a 600 nitro express unless you plan on buying the barrel and shells. I doubt that they kick as hard as most people think that they do, the rifles were big and heavy which eats up the recoil forces. Everyone was telling me not to built a 50/90 because of the recoil but my rolling block is heavy enough that its actually pretty fun to shoot, nothing like hurling half pound chunks of lead out a 1000 yards on a warm summers afternoon just for the fun of it.

number 9 in the line up is a stupid round just so someone could say my shells bigger then your shell,

if its big shells your after then you should look towards a 2 Bore rifle, http://www.stolzergunsmithing.com/2boredoublerifle.htm

I had a 6.5 Italian carbine. It was a light rifle and kicked like a mule. Once I got used to it, it was fun to shoot.
