you could say that I've been putting the metal to the wood.
I still have to fix the spot that chipped out when the blank was run thru the planer

I built a wall, in our house not between here and Mexico. Then grilled some steaks. The town is having their fireworks tonight, so were going to sit in the side yard and watch them.
Gun is looking great.

With regards to the bees, these are to ones in my back yard, they don't produce a lot of honey and with the hive being in a log you can only get at it by damn near destroying the hive, so its only for pollinating https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fCOJW11--k

Looks good Dave...
I slathered some finish on a couple of drumshells I have been sitting on..
In other news, I agreed to purchase a CNC Shark from a friend. Not what I want, but it will get me in the game... got a puzzle drum to finish.

I have a lot more sanding to do before I can slather on the good stuff. I always what to see what the grain will look like. I find that the actual finish actually makes better grain filler then some of the products that they have on the market, so when I sand I always put finish on when done for the day.
have no idea what a CNC Shark is?, other then some type of machine.
Didn't you buy a big Monarch lathe if so did you ever get it running.

Looks like a cool machine. I still think about cast a drum shell someday, but it has let me to other ideas if I ever get the furnace set up and get back to casting. Right now I'm building a laundry room.
