if they don't produce very much honey, they need more space. or the colony is pretty small.mite5255 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 07, 2018 11:32 pmWith regards to the bees, these are to ones in my back yard, they don't produce a lot of honey and with the hive being in a log you can only get at it by damn near destroying the hive, so its only for pollinating https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fCOJW11--k

I'm not sure I could name one of either. Neil Peart was the guy I wanted to be early on, I even got paid to build him a drum, but my list has expanded quite a bit. I have over 1000 cds and around 70 gb of music on my work computer. My kids are now huge Beatles fans and my collection ranges from jazz and Classical to out right metal.mite5255 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 2:36 amHey Laz, who's your favorite drummer, and your favorite type of musiclatzanimal wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 2:01 amLooks good Dave...
I slathered some finish on a couple of drumshells I have been sitting on..
In other news, I agreed to purchase a CNC Shark from a friend. Not what I want, but it will get me in the game... got a puzzle drum to finish.
I like many drummers and bands for many different reasons. Some I have come to dislike after meeting them...

Dave, I do still have the big Ol' Monarch, but need to get it to a more permanent home. My dad passed 3.5 years ago and mom won't live forever.
Jammer, I still think about it as well. Still sitting on the bronze as well... there is a foundry in Duluth, where another guy was having drumshells cast. He stiffed a few people, but the owner of the foundry made good on his old orders and is now casting shells again. I need to talk to him and maybe take a road trip.

I saw a big old lathe sitting outside the other day and I thought about the drums. It had about a 12 foot bed and I thought I would cut it off to a couple feet so it would cut short, fat things. Hook it up to a gas engine like dallen's shaper. I don't have anywhere to put it.
Re: Cincinnati Shaper
got this in the mail yesterday, gave it a bath in some zippo lighter fluid and a good shake and it started running.
the glass was broke out of it and the front bezel was stuck, but with a little persuasion I was able to get the bezel off and put in an old crystal that I had until I can get a good un-chipped one.
nice thing is that its been running without me having to baby sit it for around 27 hours now. Only thing i need to do to it right now is to adjust the crown so that its not so loose.
Its a 17 jewel 18s Elgin watch made around 1903 and in pretty damn good shape.
forgot theres also one small hairline crack at about the 27 minute mark that once the dirt is washed out will be almost invisible.

heres a photo of the stock that I've been working on for i don't know how long now.
cell phone won't pick up the true colors, in the final stages of having this part finished just needs about 10 more hours with the polishing rag to be fnished.
